1. Introduction
Welcome to Gains App, provided by GAINS MONEY APP LTD, company number 16565380, registered at 27 Emerald Avenue, Fleet, England, GU51 5DG (“Gains App”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Gains App helps users manage their money through open-banking insights, cashback rewards, and optional premium features.
Regulatory status: Gains Money App Ltd is an Appointed Representative of TrueLayer Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) (Firm Reference Number 901096) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017.
Certain information we provide may be a “financial promotion” under section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Where applicable, such promotions are communicated by us in our capacity as an Appointed Representative and are issued or approved in accordance with the FCA’s financial-promotion rules.
By creating an account, downloading, or using Gains App, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply only to individuals aged 18 or over who are residents of the United Kingdom.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
- You must be 18 years or older and resident in the UK.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during sign-up.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if information is false, incomplete, or your account is misused.
3. Our Services
Gains App allows users to:
- View personal-finance insights based on their connected bank accounts (via TrueLayer);
- Access cashback and reward offers, including through the purchase of digital gift cards; and
- Optionally upgrade to premium features.
Data access is provided through TrueLayer and is read-only; we cannot initiate or move funds.
Our insights and features are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice.
We may change, suspend, or withdraw Services with reasonable notice.
4. Premium Features and Billing
Gains App is free to use, with optional paid plans offering enhanced features.
- Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually.
- Payments are processed securely (App Store, Play Store, Stripe or Paddle).
- Cooling-off period: You have a 14-day right to cancel a new premium plan. If you ask us to start providing the service during this period, you acknowledge you lose the right to cancel once we start delivering it.
- Refunds follow the relevant platform’s policy.
- We provide clear pre-contract information, renewal reminders, and an easy cancellation route in accordance with UK consumer-protection law.
- We may change prices or features with at least 30 days’ notice.
5. Gift Cards, Cashback and Rewards Programme
Gift Card Purchases
5.1 We provide an online service where you can purchase digital gift cards for various retailers through Gains App, which may be eligible to receive cashback rewards.
5.2 Before placing an order to purchase a digital gift card, please refer to the applicable retailer’s website for restrictions on the use of the digital gift card to ensure it is suitable for your intended purpose.
5.3 Sometimes we may reject an order to purchase a digital gift card or registration for a user account, for example because:
- We cannot verify your age (you must be 18 years or older);
- You are located outside the UK (you must be a UK resident);
- You are not accessing the App on your own behalf; or
- The digital gift card you wish to purchase is not available.
When this happens, we will let you know as soon as possible.
5.4 We will contact you by email and in-App to confirm receipt of payment and acceptance of your order. The digital gift card will then be sent to you via the App and should appear in your account within 2 minutes of the acceptance of your order having been confirmed to you. If you do not receive your digital gift card within 2 hours of confirmation of acceptance of your order, please contact support@gainsapp.com.
5.5 Digital gift cards can be used in the applicable retailer’s app, online on the applicable retailer’s website, or in applicable retailer stores, depending on the retailer. This is controlled by the retailer and not by us. If you experience any issues with using the digital gift card, please refer to the applicable retailer’s terms and conditions on their website or contact their customer services. Your usage of the gift card is subject to the retailer’s own terms and conditions.
5.6 We will charge your chosen method of payment for your digital gift card when we confirm acceptance of your order.
5.7 By purchasing a digital gift card from Gains App, you acknowledge and agree that the digital gift card will be supplied immediately upon confirmed settlement of purchase (subject to 5.4 above). Because digital gift cards can be used as soon as they are provided to you, there is no right to cancel the purchase and the purchased digital gift card will not be refunded, except in accordance with your statutory rights or as set out in these Terms.
5.8 In the event that you are entitled to a refund, we will endeavour to agree a refund with the issuer of the digital gift card if the card has not been used. Please allow 14 days for the cancellation process. If the issuer of the digital gift card declines the refund request, no refund can be provided.
5.9 If the digital gift card is faulty, you will be entitled to receive a refund or a replacement card. Please contact support@gainsapp.com if you experience any such issues.
Earning Cashback
5.10 For each digital gift card purchase made through Gains App, we may reward you with cashback based on a percentage of the value of the eligible digital gift card purchased.
5.11 The amount of cashback you can receive varies depending on several factors, including but not limited to:
- The applicable retailer;
- Your payment method;
- User-specific information or behaviours, such as your account activity and usage patterns; and
- Promotional campaigns or offers active at the time of purchase.
The amount of cashback awarded can vary from time to time and will be clearly displayed in the App at the point of purchase. By completing your purchase, you accept the cashback rate as shown at that time.
5.12 While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, there may be occasions where errors occur in reflecting the cashback available on our App. These errors could result from technical glitches, inaccuracies in data, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of such errors, we reserve the right to correct the cashback information without prior notice. This correction may involve adjusting the cashback amount to reflect the accurate value.
5.13 You will be notified of your cashback earnings via the App and/or email following your gift card purchase. Your cashback balance will be displayed in your account within the App, subject to our verification and approval processes.
5.14 Cashback may initially appear as “pending” in your account. If a retailer offers a returns or exchange policy that entitles you to return products purchased with the gift card during a specified period (Returns Policy Period), your cashback will only become available after the Returns Policy Period has ended. We aim to update your cashback balance within a reasonable period after our approval, though processing may take longer from time to time.
5.15 All cashback is subject to our internal approval process. We reserve the right to:
- Decline or withhold cashback if we suspect fraudulent activity;
- Decline cashback if your gift card purchase order is returned, amended, or cancelled;
- In the event of a partial return, amendment, or cancellation, we may decline only that part of the cashback associated with the partial cancellation, at our discretion.
5.16 Cashback will expire after 12 months from the date on which it was rewarded if not redeemed during that period. Expired cashback will be automatically removed from your account.
Redeeming Cashback
5.17 You can only redeem your cashback once you have accumulated a minimum balance as specified within the App. This minimum threshold may be subject to change, and any changes will be notified to you through the App or by email.
5.18 Your available cashback balance displayed in the App is subject to final confirmation and verification by us. Only cashback that has completed our approval process and is no longer in “pending” status can be withdrawn.
5.19 You can redeem your available cashback in the following ways:
- Transfer to your registered UK bank account via BACS; or
- As partial or full payment towards additional gift cards.
5.20 If you choose to redeem your cashback via bank transfer:
- You must provide accurate bank account details (Payee Name, Bank Name, Account Number, and Sort Code);
- The Payee Name must match the name provided on your Gains App account during registration;
- We may charge a bank transfer fee to cover transfer costs. This fee will be clearly displayed before you confirm your withdrawal;
- Any changes to your bank account details may result in a security delay before you can request your cashback;
- Processing times may vary and depend on banking systems and processes outside our control. We make no commitment as to how long transfers will take;
- You are responsible for ensuring correct bank details are submitted. We shall not be responsible for any redeemed funds being sent to an incorrect bank account where you have provided incorrect details.
5.21 You may only request one withdrawal in any 24-hour period. The same minimum threshold applies to any future withdrawals.
5.22 We reserve the right to suspend cashback payments at any time without notice if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.
5.23 If your account is terminated or suspended by us for any reason, including breach of these Terms or suspected fraud, any pending or available cashback will be forfeited and will not be paid to you.
5.24 We reserve the right to reclaim any cashback paid to you in error, including without limitation technical errors on our part. If you have already withdrawn such funds, you agree to return them to us upon request.
Referral and Bonus Rewards
5.25 From time to time, we may run incentive campaigns giving you the opportunity to earn bonus cashback for various activities such as:
- Purchasing your first digital gift card through the App;
- Referring others to Gains App;
- Participating in promotional events or challenges.
5.26 Referral rewards are granted once referred users complete at least one Activation (a redeemed cashback offer). Participation in referral programmes is limited to verified UK users aged 18+.
5.27 Fraudulent, duplicate, or self-referrals are prohibited.
5.28 Bonus cashback will expire after 12 months from the date on which it was rewarded if not redeemed during that period. Expired bonus cashback will be automatically removed from your account.
5.29 Bonus cashback is awarded on an individual user basis. First purchase bonuses and/or referral bonuses will only be allocated once per user.
5.30 We may modify, pause, or end any rewards programme at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or withhold bonus cashback and referral rewards at any time without notice if we suspect the bonus system has been abused or where fraud is suspected.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Gains App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- Copy, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the App;
- Circumvent usage limits; or
- Upload malicious code.
Notify support@gainsapp.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights in Gains App, including software, design, text, graphics, and trademarks, belong to GAINS MONEY APP LTD or its licensors.
You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence for personal use.
Feedback or suggestions may be used by us under a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We maintain robust security standards as set out in our Security Policy.
We use trusted processors — TrueLayer, PostHog, AWS, Google Analytics, Tillo, OpenAI, and marketing pixels — to operate and improve our Service.
Cookies & consent: We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and marketing. Where required, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. See our Privacy Policy for details and choices.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office and comply with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
9. Service Availability and Maintenance
We aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Downtime may occur for maintenance or events beyond our control.
We follow our Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Policy.
10. Regulatory Status and Disclaimers
- Gains Money App Ltd (company no. 16565380) is an Appointed Representative of TrueLayer Limited, authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN 901096).
- We do not provide regulated financial advice, investment services, or credit brokerage.
- Information is for guidance only and may not be accurate or complete.
- Cashback and partner content come from third parties; we are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss (including lost profits or data).
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed £100 or the total subscription fees paid in the preceding 12 months (whichever is greater).
- Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve complaints promptly.
For payment-services issues, we will send a final response within 15 business days of receiving your complaint (or within 35 business days in exceptional circumstances). For other complaints, within 8 weeks.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service within 6 months of our final response.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of their courts.
13. Treating Customers Fairly
We operate to deliver good outcomes in line with the FCA Consumer Duty and our Treating Customers Fairly Policy.
We aim to provide clear information, fair value, and appropriate support for all users, including those who may be vulnerable.
14. Termination and Suspension
You may delete your account at any time via the App or by emailing support@gainsapp.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account with notice if you breach these Terms, we suspect fraud, or we are required to do so by law or our regulator.
On termination, access to cashback and data ceases, and data handling follows our Privacy Policy.
15. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
- The “Last updated” date shows when changes occurred.
- We’ll notify you by email or in-app notice of material changes.
- Continued use after updates means you accept the new Terms.

17. Miscellaneous
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gains App.
- If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.
- No waiver of rights is implied by non-enforcement.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
- No third party has rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
18. Definitions
Activation – successful redemption of at least one cashback offer.
Appointed Representative – a firm registered with the FCA to act on behalf of an authorised firm (TrueLayer Limited).
Available Balance – the total amount of approved cashback in your account that is eligible for withdrawal.
Cashback – rewards earned on eligible purchases, including digital gift card purchases, displayed in the user’s account and subject to our approval and verification processes.
Digital Gift Card – electronic gift cards or vouchers that can be purchased through Gains App and used with participating retailers.
Pending Cashback – cashback that has been allocated but not yet approved or made available for withdrawal.
Services – all features and functionality provided through Gains App.
User Content – any feedback or data you submit.
We / Us / Our – GAINS MONEY APP LTD.
You / User – the individual accessing or using Gains App.
